      I understand why they do it, but the idea that it should be illegal to know how to do stuff has always seemed a bit off to me.

      Possessing firearms and explosives, or gathering together materials that clearly indicate the intention to make them, should of course be absolutely illegal for obvious reasons.

      But knowing how explosives are made is just science.
