Il principale partito di opposizione polacco, il nazional-conservatore Legge e Giustizia (PiS), ha nominato Przemysław Czarnek come candidato primo ministro in caso di vittoria delle elezioni parlamentari del prossimo anno.
Czarnek, che ha servito come ministro dell’Istruzione nell’ex governo PiS, è noto come un conservatore intransigente che ha svolto un ruolo di primo piano nella campagna del partito contro la cosiddetta “ideologia LGBT” e ha cercato di dare all’insegnamento cattolico un ruolo maggiore nelle scuole.
Intervenendo ad un evento per annunciare la sua candidatura, Czarnek ha dichiarato di voler rimuovere dal potere il governo “apertamente tedesco” dell’attuale primo ministro centrista, Donald Tusk, e di voler rendere la Polonia di nuovo “normale”.

They’re going for voters and coalition with Konfederacja, that’s all. Czarnek is ignorant but loud and self-assured which is what the people apparently want.

It’s actually a win-win situation. Win the election, big whopp for the PiSsers, traditional values win, lose, and they’ve got their scapegoat.
