Lo zoo di Dublino lascia libere le mamme durante la festa della mamma. Hanno assunto James Patrice per interpretare il personaggio di “Malahide Mammy” per il promo. Ken O’Flynn, Peader Toebeans e Sharon Keogan sostengono che questo è uno sradicamento della maternità e delle vere madri e hanno chiesto il boicottaggio dello zoo. Peader è andato oltre affermando che sulla scia del referendum sulla famiglia e sulla madre fallito; che lo Zoo di Dublino ha serie domande a cui rispondere per aver utilizzato nella pubblicità una persona che “chiaramente non è una madre”

My partner is a Mammy, her friends are mammies, all the mammies love that bloke. Him dressing as a “Mammy” to play a character won’t bother any Mammy.
As a mother, I am far more offended by the “Give Mammy a day off/No cooking for Mammy today” style ads that suggest that mothers should be kept busy the other 364 days of the year!
I saw Paul Treyvaud ranting about it on instagram, then saw he was going on Geebeebies to talk about it.

I feel like this “eradication of motherhood” all comes from that time they tried to change the parent/guardian laws a while back.
Someone made up that phrase, which makes no sense to begin with, and people have since ran with the idea that the world is out for them 🙄
I wouldn’t have heard of this if it wasnt for people giving out about it. I’m seriously considering going now for mother’s day but im worried it’d be jammers.

Ahh stop…I’m a mammy and I know who he is and when I seen it I just said to my mate ‘the zoo are letting mammy’s in for free on mammy day’ ….that’s it…nothing else…I was in no way offended or affronted !
