More than 70,000 women are serving in Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Every day they risk everything to defend their motherland, freedom, and values-while challenging long-standing stereotypes. This is 20% more than in 2022, when russia first launched its full-scale invasion. Duty called, and women answered.

They serve on the frontlines and in command posts, as medics, snipers, engineers, drone operators, and more. Their courage and professionalism are shaping Ukraine’s defense and redefining what service and leadership look like.
