All the headlines I been reading over the past year are like: “The EU must become (insert any version)”. In reality, nothing happens at all. The EU still cannot clearly say whether it supports Iran or the US in the current conflict, even though the war has been going on for more than a week.

Yes, although this would involve Von der Leyen keeping out of foreign policy and leaving it to High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, who is paid to do the job.

They didn’t get their way every time, no one does, does that mean the value of the organization is diminished, of course not. That’s the strength of excellence.
