>Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan hosted the EU Ambassador to Armenia, Vassilis Maragos, and his delegation at the Margara checkpoint. The committee chairman and the ambassador jointly toured the checkpoint area.

>The entire infrastructure of the checkpoint, as well as the sequence of application and organization of procedures, were presented. It was emphasized that at the Margara customs point, like at other checkpoints in Armenia, state border control is intended to be carried out based on the principle of integrated border management, using the “one-stop-shop” system. The main construction work of the checkpoint was completed in a short period of about six months, and the capital renovation has been fully completed. Comfortable service halls, a deep inspection hangar, pavilions and warehouses for cargo clearance, parking lots, a well-maintained spacious area, and other infrastructure in line with international standards, equipped with modern technical equipment, have been built here.

>During the visit, recent SRC reforms were discussed, as well as the progress of implementing agreements in the tax and customs fields within the framework of international cooperation. The EU Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the work carried out at the checkpoint.
