      Has any government over the past 50 years actually done anything about these companies profiteering over oil price rises?

      Because I’ve seen a lot of news articles like this over the years saying they’re going to take action, but I don’t remember any government actually doing anything about it.

      Yay! The free market working again! At what point , with so many interventions, should we acknowledge that some things should not be left to billionaires and massive corporations?

      The whole reason why we have the conflict in Iran is also the origin story of British Petroleum.

      For those interested read about Anglo-Iranian oil company which later became BP and the 1953 coup instigated by Churchill, Eisenhower and co. for oil greed.
