Alla fine della seconda guerra mondiale, mio nonno faceva parte dello staff di Eisenhower come ufficiale di collegamento con il secondo nucleo dell’esercito polacco. Ha guadagnato molti premi per il suo servizio durante questo periodo, inclusa questa targa da (credo) un’organizzazione polacca locale. Mi piacerebbe ottenerlo Libertà come un piccolo tatuaggio per onorare mio nonno e la sua eredità polacca. Tuttavia, sembra che questo possa avere anche un significato di estrema destra, cosa che in realtà non voglio. Verrà fuori così?

The word itself has no specific connotations. That, unfortunately, also means that by itself it’s meaningless and doesn’t really do what you want.
If you want something that actually resonates with history try [“Za wolność naszą i waszą”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_our_freedom_and_yours) or “My nie błagamy o wolność, my o nią walczymy”, which you could shorten to “Nie błagamy o wolność” (“we do not beg for freedom”)
I think “wolność” has no negative connotation. It’s not a far-right thing. I think it’s generally a value that’s really high for Poles regardless of political affiliation. It also seems rooted to our culture and history
“Wolność” means freedom
Have it in rainbow colors just to make sure 😀
