As the police arrested and beat him unconscious, the words “I was hacked!” could be heard from the accused.

Imo most likely explanation is Kremlin “towers” starting to really-really disagree on a ship’s current trajectory.
I also really liked some Ukrainian bloggers/journalists description of it(actually they were discussing Iranian regime change, but I think it applies here perfectly too). Basically for a regime to change course someone should suggest it first. It is really hard to do because of the fear and consequences that it implies. The moment you voice your opposition you multiply all good will that you earned inside the system by zero and face all the loyalists alone. So what usually happen is that someone finally muster the strength to voice it and subsequently gets disposed off(either lethally or non-lethally). And after the opinion was voiced it starts to cook for some time. And 2-3 weeks/months later the loyalists start to actually discuss it in a “that guy’s idea actually made a lot of sense” way, and it goes more or less mainstream after that with all the consequences it implies. So he is our fall guy.
Or maybe he is simply preparing to run west (won’t help him as he is heavily sanctioned by Ukraine and as a consequence by Europe too).
Orrrrrr… maybe his consciousness finally has woken up (ha-ha, I know, funny joke).

He has obviously had the builders in to brick up all his windows.

It’s very possible it’s a honeypot for capturing dissidents.
Either way, major developments in Russia right now. Massive increase in security in Moscow, with machine gun trucks on the streets. Putin reportedly in hiding. Either he is getting more paranoid or preparing for the first real draft. My guesses.

Probably lost a friend or family member to Putin’s pointless attack on Ukraine…

“No one knows why” = “The oligarchs around Putin have started to think that it’s in their best interest to put someone else in his place”.

They can’t really jail everyone for criticizing Putin,” he told the exiled news outlet Agentstvo. “That’s nonsense.” Really? Is that what living in russia taught him?
