I’m not really sure how suitable is GCAP for Poland
GCAP is a large (and expensive) jet, something like F-14 Tomcat, meant to cover large areas of sea and land
Imo smaller (cheaper) and more numerous jets are better for small country sitting on potential frontlines

>Polish officials have suggested engagement is already underway. Deputy Minister of State Assets Konrad Gołota told TVP.Info that “there is understanding for our proposal and a willingness to continue discussions” on joining GCAP, adding that he has been in contact with representatives from Italian and Japanese defence industries in recent months.
Always interesting to hear about talks going on behind the scenes. Seems GCAP are open to new partners but only in a secondary capacity, as they want to keep the three dominant developer nations to not reduce the speed or progress of the project.

As always, the phrasing here is along the lines of “we’re open to new partners but commited to the timelines”. In effect I don’t see anything that suggests any openness to development partners, but possibly sales in the future.
