    It was a reform of the justice system and it was going to change the Italian Constitution. It failed to get 2/3 of the votes of the parliament, so the only other way to approve it was by obtaing at least 50% of “yes” votes from the referendum, but the “No” won.

    The government pretended it was meant to eliminate corruption among judges (that can also judge politicians), but the opposition highlighted that these fixes were going to allow the government to rule the judges, leading the country to be extremely vulnerable to a future dictatorship attempt.

    Interesting to note that this reform was first proposed by Berlusconi, a close friend of Putin. It is now demanded by his former party (because he’s dead) and the ally of his party. Also, these same parties every now and then have some people arrested for corruption and serious crime, so it was very likely a law “at personam” made to grant them immunity.

  4. as far as i understand she got the very same votes she had during the election

    but lost the referendum because is not made with the same rigged system
