I’m assuming he was on QT because he’s another rent a gob of marginal fame who is desperate to boost his recognition but not income at that fee.

BBC says it offers non political people 150 but he insists he agreed on 2000 with them and 400 for his driver.

As far as I can see both could be telling the truth. BBC may well offer 150 and it’s possible for people to negotiate a different amount. BBC doing a crappy job of clarifying what actually happened. It shouldn’t be that hard to just say what was actually paid.

They could probably get some actual politcans for much cheaper over Reform wannabes.

£150/£2000 for insights such as “I think there should be better things on social media”

Both could be right if the BBC pays a £150 fee but then refunds meal, travel or accommodation expenses on top. Either way, the figures are so small it must be a slow news day at the Independent.

I’m not sure why this geezer is so triggering for people? He’s not the first idiot on question time & he won’t be the last either

  7. The fee to appear on HIGNFY is £10-30k.

The guy’s a twat but even if it is 2k that seems reasonable to me (based on HIGNFY – similar time and audience)

Hmmm. I wonder who to believe. Tom Skinner who claims it’s a £2000 appearance fee for him and £400 for his driver and who definitely – despite everything he says – has a clear political agenda.

Or the BBC, one of the most respected news organisations in the world and has thousands of employees and their role starts with getting their facts right?
