Happened to my ex girlfriend. She was given the wrong sperm multiple times behind my back.

I think the way the clinics have been operating is absolutely fucked up, but I found the whole thing of ‘i was promised the DNA of a blue eyed, blond haired, light skinned, right-handed, tall european sports model’ a bit icky. I know it’s something the clinics like to push, not the parents, and I don’t blame them because why wouldn’t you chose the ‘best’ for your kids, but I feel some sort of way about it that I can’t put my finger on.

Going somewhere that’s not regulated and doing it on the cheap. What could possibly go wrong? I don’t really have much sympathy for the parents at all.

My sister was working in one of the Bristol hospitals back in the 90’s and a white couple sued them because they had IVF twins and one was black. The couple won and it was put down to a ‘drug error’.

If they want women to have more kids, this is the kind of thing they need to sort out

This is the fault of treatment being so hard to get here but I’m not sure you’d expect things done properly when traveling to an illegally occupied area to get medical treatment.

I think this sounds like a caring couple who wanted to do the best job they could of building a family. They are right to raise that they were misled, and I think anyone who wants to pile on with judgement should get over themselves.
