Every cover is removable if you believe in yourself.

We can see that it is removable. Use the force.

For additional context I have a hair drain catcher, have tried hot water but not tried any chemical solutions yet

This drain type is notorious for getting clogged with hair. Pry the metal cover off, under that there’s a float, lift that up if you can and clean everything. Make sure the float moves up and down freely. If you cannot get the float out, the container it is in should also lift up and you can remove it all together.
Don’t use any chemicals before trying to get the clog out physically! To get the metal cover off just use a thin screwdriver or something similar to loosen it from the corners/sides and then try to open the drain up as much as you can. Usually the clog/hair is floating either under or around the drain cover. If it’s a bigger clog, you might have to remove the whole drain insert, not just the cover. And then get an old toothbrush and get scrubbing 🙂

The cover is removable, I have the same as yours. I used two forks and force. It won’t break trust me bro.
I know many have recommended this one already, but I would add additional input that I would recommend the same product BUT with extra granules as it is labeled under the “Torusiil”
Its basically same but in my experience way more efficient. It has as said granules, that react with hot water.
You boil water, pour that torusiil in your drainage and pour that hot water. It should start to react and make bubbles and some weird noises. Then let it sit little while. Couple minutes later you can maybe do second round if u want.
Also the chemical smell is not nice so just keep your windows open for a while.

I have the same cover, it is removable. Sometimes limescale makes it tougher so I usually start by spraying it on the edges and then use a long cable tie. I push it under the cover and then holding both ends of the cable tie, pull the cover off. Most annoying cover ever, would never choose it if I could build my own home and shower
