    Four-day week in Russia’s main truck maker is a pretty striking indicator of how hard Chinese overcapacity is biting. I wonder if KamAZ will pivot more to military contracts again.

    Any other country would put tariffs on Chinese trucks to help the domestic industry and workforce but Russia can‘t do that in fear of angering China.

    And you know, apart from any other vehicle manufacturer from russia, this one used to make decent trucks. They’re also repairable, unlike a lot of modern trucks from other manufacturers. There were regular winners of [Dakar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamaz_Master). Russia really is hellbent on ruining every single good thing they have.

    And then you have Oleg Deripaska saying that Russia’s economy can only be saved if people work 6 days a week.

    Guess they need a second job then.
