Ciao a tutti, mi sono trasferito da poco a Cipro e ho appena controllato la mia app sulla qualità dell’aria… sinceramente sono un po’ scioccato.
L’AQI mostra oltre 350 (pericoloso) e afferma che la concentrazione di PM2,5 è oltre 53 volte la linea guida dell’OMS.

Ho vissuto in Europa per gran parte della mia vita e non ho mai visto niente di simile. È successo qualcosa di specifico oggi o è un evento normale qui?
Immagino che potrebbe trattarsi di un’enorme tempesta di sabbia proveniente dal Sahara o dal Medio Oriente?
Inoltre, qualche consiglio per un principiante? Quanto durano solitamente questi episodi ed è fondamentale dotarsi di un buon purificatore d’aria per l’appartamento?

Wtf how can you think this could be normal.
A pretty normal occurrence in this region from about late winter to late spring. With the peak season from mid-March to mid-May.
It’s not normal no. It happens more regularly in the last few years though.

I read in philenews (online newspaper) that this dust phenomen today happens once every 10year. It is the worst I remembered. Stay inside, close the windows and drink plenty of water. And don’t panic people live in such conditions many days over the year in the Gulf countries.
