      What’s the bear going to do? Get in the bus with me? I doubt he even has a ticket. Where would he keep it? He has no pockets.

      I’d get off the bus with my headset music and notice the bear when it’s two meters away from me

      This is the norm in Romania. People mauled and even killed each year, in many mountain towns you can’t go out after dark because of them. Me and my wife were planning to build a small cabin in the mountains but it’s not that safe anymore to do that.

      I also fell for it myself today. There is at least one bear in that municipality, so it sounded quite plausible.

      Yikes – Maybe a shuttle system to be setup, where the bus stop is bear proof and the bus coming “docks” with the bus stop shelter 😛

      You pressed the stop button, now you have to get off the bus at the stop. It would be awkward otherwise.
