  1. Toners was across the road from the Trib. I’d say reviewing that was an entire newsroom operation that lasted many many years…

French’s Bar in Gorey is still open and the only change has been to the toilets (very nice, thanks) and a smoking area. Great little pub.

Dan Foley’s in Annascaul was shut down for years but a local couple opened it back up last year. Absolutely beautiful pub, as is the rest of the village. Well worth a trip.

The Black Bull in Drogheda is still there. OK for food but not been in for years.

Carberry’s has been closed for about 10 years+. It was a pretty unique spot, like something from a different time. Great for a trad session on Tuesday evening and Sunday afternoons.

Not sure why or when exactly it closed. I know one of the sisters is in a nursing home now but haven’t heard what became of the other lady and their brother.

Conways on Parnell st is well closed and in an awfully sorry state at the moment. A proper eyesore.

There used to be a really nice bar near the triangle in Ranelagh.

Duffs in Bray is still going. Although it’s very difficult now.
