So, a little about coincidences and good karma. It all started when I received a request from military personnel regarding the need to purchase insoles made from puncture-resistant fabric – Kevlar – to protect their feet from anti-personnel mines and other foot injuries sustained in war. I recalled having heard about such items somewhere before. Of course, I could have bought such insoles online, but given the cost of this puncture-resistant fabric, I reckoned the mark-up on such items was far too high. Then I found volunteers who thought the same way as I did (only they had already thought of this a long time ago); I got in touch with them, learnt the ins and outs, and together with volunteers from the local theatre, we sewed the first batch for one of the units in the Pokrovsk sector. Perhaps I wouldn’t have dared to produce such insoles, but on 18 March I unexpectedly received funds from Mr Yicong that fully covered the cost of 10 running metres of this fabric, so I decided to give it a go. Despite the fact that I was buying tried-and-tested anti-penetration fabric, I still had doubts about its reliability and sent a sample to the testing ground for evaluation. I haven’t received a response from the testing facility yet, but today I received feedback from the unit using these insoles. They protected one of the soldiers’ feet from shrapnel. So now I can report that we have another project to help the military. And a huge thank you to Yicong and all the other Redditors who constantly help us, and thank you to the people who send funds from above, which makes it possible to carry out unplanned thihgs))))

As an electrician we sometimes wear steel toecap boots with metal plates in the bottom of the boots, to protect against nails etc. Would those help protect your fighters feet as well as the Kevlar insoles?
