    > “Against that backdrop, to put out a mealy-mouthed, self-serving statement about love, unity, hope and change, I’m sorry, ‘get real’. <

I’m sorry literally why is this an issue?? He should not be granted entry into the country. He is a literal nazi, what are we doing??

That headline is quite disingenuous. Tiwan being invaded by China could be seen as China’s ‘unity pledge’.

Unity doesn’t mean much coming from a Nazi supporter unfortunately…

Guys, he made a song about Hitler. Literally had heil Hitler as the lyrics. Music video and all. That is one mental episode.

    >But responding to the backlash, the rapper insisted: “My only goal is to come to London and present a show of change, bringing unity, peace and love through my music”.

I suppose in a sense, he has brought unity…because nearly everyone is united in condemning him.

    >He added: “I would be grateful for the opportunity to meet with members of the Jewish community in the UK in person, to listen.

Why should British Jews have to sign up for educating an American about how bad the Nazis were? Why do they have to shoulder that responsibility?

If nothing else on, with the sadly appalling levels of antisemitism in the UK at the moment, they’ve got enough to be getting on with.

As much as I think Kanye’s a prick, and he should be banned from the country just for crimes against footwear,…let’s remember it’s only a few weeks since we were defending a guy who shouted N*****s at an awards ceremony because his condition meant he couldn’t help it.

Not saying it’s exactly the same situation here, but Kanye’s clearly got serious mental issues.

Personally I’d pefer it if cabinet ministers were concentrating on running the country and not opining about festival line-ups.

Focus on the cost of living crisis? nah just put that energy towards a festival line up clearly the most pressing issue in our country

Enough with this hack.  He was always fucking garbage both musically and as a person.  I know, I know, College Dropout was revolutionary (if you only started paying attention to the genre when it came out).

  10. I think he should put his money where his mouth is and donate his fee to charity. That would be a start.

Although, I think the drama over this is stupid, fairly sure there’s better things paid cabinet ministers should be working on.
