    Germany should do the same:

We won’t, cause our chancellor is only strong if he’s dealing with poor and weak people. He would never dare to even raise his voice against Daddy Trump.

Please enlighten me why do different countries have gold in the fed? I’m stupid for not knowing

  3. I wish the Italian government had the backbone to do the same. Sadly they are Trump’s lapdog.

Yes. YES! Finally, one of the big EU countries is reading the writing on the wall: the US is crashing, and if we don’t wanna crash with it, we need to cut ourselves off.

Sweden already cut US treasury holdings, now France has as well. I hope to God that behind the scenes the EU leaders decided on a systematic divestment of US assets so that all countries can pull out, but do so in a way that it isn’t noticed, and doesn’t make major waves in relevant economies

I hope my country does so too. The us is way too unstable right now…

All countries should do the same. The US of Trump are not trustworrhy

  7. We should try and make the Euro the global reserve currency and cost per barrel of oil in Euro too.

  8. Just to be clear this is not something they suddenly did because of the US’ current political climate, it’s part of a long term plan to modernize their gold reserves. Seems like decent timing though all things considered.

With the current US Administration in place I would argue its safer keeping the gold under your bed

If this doesn’t make markets shit themselves, nothing will.

    Everybody should do the same.

We can’t trust USA at the moment, I’m sure we can find solutions in Europe to store gold.

I like that France even made a profit doing so. Makes it harder to argue against doing the same from other Governments.

Portugal is the 14th country in the world with the largest gold reserves. Around forty-something percent is stored in Portugal, 49% is held in the United Kingdom, and the remaining 6% is stored in the United States. I’ve always found it strange why Portugal doesn’t keep all of its gold within the country.

Germany needs to hurry up. There’s a non zero chance that the US doesn’t hold as much gold as they say they are.

If the german politicians aren’t bought and paid for (or in the Trump-Epstein files) they need to do what’s good for Germany.

Narrator : “it totally was a political decision”.

That is not a whole lot. I count about 5.5 kg and some doubloons. I thought France had more gold than that tbh.

As should all other countries as well. After that that should stop paying for oil in usd and change to eur or cny.
