I get your point.. if they write 50% it should be 50%, otherwise they should write “up to 50% off” or sth like that..
They probably made a mistake. It’s always 50% in “my” Migros.
The fact that they also use red lights in the fresh meat displays is also a deceptive practice to make oxidation less visible and make the meat look more fresh than it is.
Such practice is banned in other countries, like the USA, because it is considered to be misleading to the consumers, but somehow still ok in Switzerland.
Are you sure you’re not getting 50% off the original price?
Migros orange stickers are notorious for giving lousy discounts, but these presumably went into the freezer after failing to sell discounted and they just didn’t remove or tape over the orange sticker.
Or maybe you’re right, it is Migros after all LOL.
Coop has also changed from making items 50% off at the end of the day to 30-40%.
The best thing you can do is ~~writing to [Migros](https://help.migros.ch/de/produkt.html) or go to the customer service in the shop~~ complain on reddit! This will surely help!
Selling expired stuff at giant margin so they can waste billion franks on another stupid pet project and claim their net margins are razor thin.
That is the worst meat anyway.
kinda misleading but definitely not a scam. typical stuff for migros nowadays :/
Well, nowhere it says “50% sparen” 😀 for good reason probably…
It only says “50% profitieren und Lebensmittel retten”, no idea what that even means though
Walk it up there and tell them the sign says 50% and they’ll give you the 50%
It’s a not a mistake, it’s to attract customers and falsely leading them to buy products that are almost expired with the same price, it is a strategy that also Coop is using it! It says 50% off but when you go to the cashier, the price is the same, so I end up buying a product that is almost expired or sometimes it expires the same day! So they are scamming millions of people in Switzerland but remember, if you steal ( forget to pay a paper bag) , they will sue you and pay to them hundreds of francs with no mercy at all, but who is going to sue them for scamming us?
