It is actually good, as Flanders is literally running out of land and the region needs to cut construction of new single family houses with gardens and transition towards apartment buildings with at least 4-6 floors.
It is a simple math, you can only pack so many people with so little land. Netherlands is facing the same issue, but they reacted to it already years ago (clear priority towards apartments, more high-rise buildings etc.).

Every reduction they can then put in their own pockets of course… Just like last time
