He always looks like a Derek Acorah tribute act who got sacked as a PE teacher and nobody really found out why

I’ve never quite shared the public’s appetite for those frothing, performative bust-ups, caught on camera, lovingly circulated, and deployed like cheap cologne to inflate some professional outrage merchant’s profile.
As for Reform and the many Farage-flavoured splinters, their grand legacy is less “political revolution” and more “electoral vandalism.”
They’ve succeeded chiefly in hacking chunks off the Conservative vote and spooking the establishment into a state of permanent hysteria, hardly the conditions in which thoughtful, workable solutions to real social and economic problems tend to flourish.
Perhaps I’m just jaded. I grew up in Northern Ireland, after all, marinated in a culture of flag-waving grifter ghouls of whatever persuasion , rhyming off their preferred brand of canned polarising rubbish for applause – some of them not just loud but lethal regarding alleged historical misdeed. peddling tribal loyalties and gauzy utopian panacean rubbish in place of good faith civically minded universally beneficial work and a broader progress .
Nationalism, in my experience – whether wrapped in left or rightwing conceit, is a bargain-bin ideology,
All smoke, no substance. Reform and its ilk have produced precisely nothing of value. And Farage, alongside his Brexit-cheerleading backbench chorus, has delivered little beyond a resurgence of chest-thumping tribalism and a nation more divided, and more diminished, than it needed to be… Really.

“Going by your track record, when can we expect you to join Restore?”
I really hope someone asks him this eventually.

Where’s the lie here?
Even those who support him have to agree that he is. No matter what metric and threshold you apply to the term, he hits it.
