In fairness, if I found myself in Sligo…..
I always find these things mental. They’re not super-well studied but their gestation period is estimated at 8-18 years, and it apparently takes them 150 years (yes, 150 years) to reach sexual maturity.
500 years jeez. Apparently they have a gestation period between eight and eighteen years. These guys are in no hurry.
