I often think people like this should be given community service on top of the jail sentence
XXX hours of planting tree saplings all around the area they live in, would be a good start.
At least then they’d be doing some….good? for nature at least.

Never should have been in jail. We already have a disproportionately high amount of non-violent offenders in jail compared to other European counterparts. Would have been much more productive to hand them *lengthy* community services to do.

Compared to some overly lenient sentences for crimes against humans we often hear about.

Despite this news, can i say what an excellent job the police did in finding these guys then bringing a successful charge. Evidence gathering must have been really challenging.
