As if Russian agents coming and killing people willy nilly, staging sabotage and infiltrating social media for years wasn’t a big enough warning.
Honestly I reckon a Russian helicopter could fly all the way across Europe, stopping for fuel a long the way, and then launch a missile at parliament and we’d still be like “Experts warn of increased Russian sabre rattling”
Airports have been shut down because of drone activity before. It is perfectly possible it was not the work of foreign agents then, but it does show the power a small drone could have if someone/some country wanted to use them nefariously.
There was a good CSIS report that showed how Russia has been engaging in literally every form of aggression and sabotage in Europe except that of tanks and artillery.
Europe needs to get out of denial, and they need to have a coordinated strategy on how to deal with these threats. Alone we fall, United we stand.
