Does the minister actually do anything outside of tell us shit is gonna be more expensive? Aren’t they supposed to actually govern?
So what are the gov going to do?
They know this is coming!
What is the plan of action?
DO YOUR FUCKING JOB!
What “transparency”?
We pay the cost of data centers. Simple as that.
Am I the only one surprised it’s only 9%? Given how much petrol surged, I’ve been dreading the review of my electricity bills
I’m at the stage were I’d be happy if its “only” 9%……
More Wind Turbines, more wind turbines . . . better than choking on FF fumes and ultra high prices. Electricity is the future!! But it has to be affordable.
There is sooooo much dodgy mountain/hill grazing here. Solar panels, turbines and more natural woods for flood control.
Out of interest, has any journalists ever determined if any politicians have shares in companies supplying electricity?
Remind me what rate data centres are charged for their electricity.. and why i can’t avail of the same rate..
Will fixed rates go up too? I joined Flogas’ plan at the start of the year which has rates fixed for a year
Who’ll win in the electricity wars, households or data centres
Wait a second, I’ve signed up with Energia and they say they are using renewable resources for 100% of their electricity supply.
So the prices of wind and sunlight prices have gone up as well?????
Basically we have been warned by our glorious government we’re gonna get screwed again all these renewable resources put in and they quoted we’re going to bring our bills down still waiting

Elsewhere, Cassidy remarked that the 9% offered by O’Brien was “weirdly specific” and added: “Anyone who tries to make forecasts about energy prices these days can look very silly, because it’s just so volatile
It is Darragh OBrien talking so ……
Energy companies need to take this on the nose. They’re at record profits. Salaries have not gone up.
Pulled the trigger on solar panels today. No better time
Last week the headline was how 60% of our electricity is now renewable.
Something not adding up.
can we get something done about broadband costs. I was out of contract with eir briefly and it was more than the electric
