Funny bit, but hard to compare such things 1:1 due to very different cost of living and average income.
Some fines like drunk driving also scale with your income and can be super high for some bigshot executive.

My thoughts are that you should be paying attention to the speed limit when driving. 30 over the limit is a bit much. And usually we are talking towns on the main road.

Fines should hurt, they are there to protect the people not in that car. I would think Indias streets be safer if their fines where higher? Driving a car is a privilege not a right.

Norway is world leading in road safety while india is one of the worst per this study by Zutobi from 2024 (https://zutobi.com/us/the-worlds-safest-roads)
