French billionaire Vincent Bolloré has created a Christian-inspired think tank with other wealthy business leaders to propose a conservative agenda ahead of the country’s presidential election next year.

The Institut de l’Espérance, or Institute of Hope, has met regularly for the last year and created a manifesto that includes public spending cuts, rolling back abortion protections and measures to curb immigration, according to people close to the organization and a copy of the manifesto dated this month, seen by Bloomberg News. The people asked not to be identified discussing specifics of the group’s plans, which are still private.

See everyone? This man is the source of so many issues in France.

Keep religion out of politics. It’s probably in the french constitution

Ban billionnaires. They and the armies of fawners they inevitably constitute have far too much power.

You basically have to count on the fact that one is a decent person not to screw over everyone or everything they want. And they seldom are ones.

This French election cycle is going to be more interesting than usual..

    6. I’d suggest it’s time for the french people to break the old big G out of retirement.

You can’t be both “wealthy business leaders” and/or billionaires, and call yourself Christian, but since they probably have never read the Bible, they aren’t aware of that or the fact that biblically, they would be condemened to hell if hell happened to exist. Samewise, biblically, you can’t be against immigration and/or refugees and can’t be against welfare and healthcare for the destitutes; basically, Bolloré’s agenda is at the opposite of all actual Christian teachings whe it comes to socio-economic matters and immigration policies.

Too few appreciate the irony of capitalists claiming to defend a religion that is, in its scriptures, vehemently anti-rich, anti-usury, against selfish wealth accumulation, both in the Old and New Testaments.

A billionaire that own multiple media.
Including one that is known for being more about propaganda than journalism. And that refused to fire someone who wa convinced for corruption of minor.

Why could he form Christian think thank…
Probably not for more propaganda and election influences…

There is not a single website or press article published in 2026 in french that mentions this Institut de l’espérance.

I don’t say it does not exist. But is either super duper secret, or out of range of a “powerful think tank”.

At this point, there’s no way to deny that “Christian” is a red flag.

What are the first few verses of “La Marseillaise” again?

    12. There’s nothing more antithetical than christian and billionaire

Not gonna lie, it’s increasingly looking like the Illuminati are real, but they’re an apocalyptic Christian billionaire cult.

    14. potatolulz on

And is the “think tank” coordinating with the heritage foundation “think tank” aside from just regular harm and election manipulation?

Radical Islam = American Christianity = Radical Rightwingers = Billionairs
(they are all the same…. fascists)

I dont think a bilionaire can be Christian…

They just use religion to control people

      >Billionaire close to death tries to fuck over the country one last time

These people are evil, full stop, the sooner governments realise that single individuals can’t have this much sway on a country the better

Why are billionaires always fucking shit up for everybody else!? If you’re not going to help at least leave us alone.

If a billionaire forms anything, it’s to make money.

    20. bobdammi on

Many such cases where rich ppl use these kind of indoctrination tools to influence politics in their favor.

    21. Thinking is antithetical to religion which is more about believing without asking questions

I cant take any billionaire serious who claims to be Christian… the bible literally says they shouldn’t exist. As long as enough idiots fall for it

    26. hydrOHxide on

Christian should be put in quotes in that context.

Or, to put it differently: “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Matthew 6:24)

A billionaire talking about Christian values is like a pimp talking about chastity.

Un altro di dx estrema. Siete abbastanza noiosi.

Christianit think thank founded by a billionaire (again)? Gee, I wonder what the Bible says about people hoarding (so much) wealth.
