Putting restrictions on sex work ends up with the sex trade going further underground and making it harder to prevent or even notice trafficking.
Better regulation that makes things more transparent would make things better for everyone except sec traffickers.

That lady is nuttier than a snickers bar and every single thing she says should be ignored or mocked. No. 1 reason the Seanad should be shut down.

Sex work is the exploitation of women.
Legal or not, it has no place in decent society. Men who purchase their services should be embarrassed.
Shut the site down and prosecute its owners. Not often I share an opinion with Sharon tbh

Of all the important things that should be discussed, this is not one of them, they cannot practically police the availability of a website.
My view, similar to drugs, prostitution has been around for ever and will be around for ever. What two consenting adults do should be no one else’s business.
You may argue that consent is questionable and safety is a issue in a lot of cases, I would counter that if it were legal, consent and safety could be policed and assured.Â

Sex workers in Ireland have faced more violence since the introduction of the Nordic model.
Only 15 people were prosecuted for the purchase of sex as of 2025 and yet sex workers are criminalised under brothel keeping laws for working together for safety.
The closure of that website would strip Irish SW of one of their few available avenues to work independently and drive more SW into the hands of pimps, brothels and traffickers.

Some laws deserve to be mocked
