Build quality of this developer is very very cheap. Price of apartments and studios in this complex is low, comfort is low. You literally live in a construction site. Last building of the complex is being completed right now and they started working on first 3 floors of all buildings in this complex. These 3 floors will be united under one roof to be converted into a shopping mall.

Location is good, views will be scenic.

They are only cheap on [Booking.com](http://Booking.com) . Once you arrive and check in, the host will demand 600$ or more.

Normally I trust Booking, but there’s a big scam in Batumi. They tried it on me, but I refused and reported them to Booking Support.

I ended up in an AirBnB for 20$ / night.

    3. I stayed in Orbi last year while travelling through Georgia.

I do not recommend it much since we had only problems there:
      – you do not rent from hotel directly but from a vendor
      – vendor is not reliable for accomodation issues
      – hotel solves issues only if vendor requests action
      – both are not much willing to help

      E.g.
We rented 3 rooms for 3 nights.
My room had broken lock and you could get in by pushing the door with a finger, you did not even need the card.
I took pictures and video and went to reception to ask for a different room. They did not want to do that because they did not rent room to me but to the vendor.

Vendor was not responding. I went there personally again (different building). They told me they will call hotel reception and ask them to help… I went there. They still did not want to change my room, they only said I can raise a ticket, and then they would react to it. Luckily there was one lady there that asked if I have any proof of issue to make that ticket resolved faster… I showes pics/vid again… She gave me whatsapp number for a maintenance person…

Person did not speak english or other language I coule be profficient in. Google translate was rejected, they just were able to say they will come to my floor. We met after a long delay. We could not speak but I showed what is the issue. They gestured something and then departed, I had no idea what is going on. I went back to reception.

Reception was pissed to see me again. I explained what is going on and asked for update. They called the guy on phone. They told me they have no replacement pieces and he had to go to buy new locks and a tool for it, but needs approval for purchase first…

Anyway… I left to town, few hours later they messaged me on WhatsApp lock was fixes. I came back and finally put my luggage to safe room… It was dirty from chopped wood particles from drilling the lock out… Then it was fine.

Additionally some elevators did not work properly. You got in and then door closed, yet it was not moving. This was a few of them. Since there were like 30-40 people trying to use them at any moment, there were “fights” to get in (imagine trains in India).

Overall we tried to avoid hotel and just go there to sleep.

I loved Georgia but there were multiple issues like this also in other parts of country, but Orbi in Batumi was most dog shit.

Edit: oh yes. There was also pricing difference. We rented online for a certain price + option to pay by card. Vendor increased price when we took over keys and also forbid using card, they accepted only cash… We had to negotiate leaving and finding ad hoc accomodation, only for them to somehow find a missing terminal, accept payment by card, but still refused to change price back..

Edit 2: i actually did not have sheets for bed either (neither did 2nd or our 3 rooms), nowhere in the room, but I did not want to deal with reception again… It was september and warm… But wind blew under the Window and it felt cold, so I slept in sweather…

I’m currently staying 1 month in Orbi City Building C. I booked through Airbnb, which I believe provides assurances if the person I booked from was to scam me etc. I’m on the 16th floor in a single room, with a tv, a small sofa and kitchenette. I paid 289 GBP for the entire month. It seems alright so far, the TV didn’t work at first, and I told the vendor via Whatsapp and a man came and literally removed the TV from the wall and walked out (I don’t speak any russian/georgian and he didn’t speak english) then he came back 15 mins later with an entirely new TV.

Overall, my experience so far has been positive. The little shop at the bottom floor is definitely a scam, a tag on an item said 3 lahri, then he told us it was 7 lahri at checkout.

I don’t know if its different now or something but for 289 GBP for 1 entire month this is an absolute steal. Yes, it isn’t a luxury hotel (you take your own trash out etc), but its perfectly useable.

Its ok to live there for a week or two, but damn, you dont wanna spend more time in a place like this. I lived there for a couple of days before finding a real place to live

Because it’s a scam. Most of them will demand a way higher price once you arrive

If you’re going to stay in Orbi make sure you stay in lower floors, where it won’t be a big hassle to use the stairs. Using the elevator is a nightmare. Wait times are around 20 minutes.

stayed in a hotel next to orbi, it was cheap because orbi is where all the hookers live

Orbi city is a cheap option. Altho booking.com shows it low once you get there they might hike it up a bit especially if you’re more than one or two people. Elevators are crazyyyy busy just 20-25 mins waiting. The room we got was pretty mid but my friends have had better rooms in different Orbi city buildings previously.

We just wanted to crash for one night so didn’t really look into the comfort and quality that much.
