La seconda lettera assomiglia decisamente a un "UN" piuttosto che un "o"ma potrebbe trattarsi di un’ortografia alternativa (o di un certo livello di analfabetismo). Questa proviene dalla cartolina precetto della Seconda Guerra Mondiale del mio bisnonno.

No, it’s Zadyma.
I’ve never seen ł written like that. It is consistent with how this person wrote L in word Poland.
Btw. that Z looks russian. Maybe it some polish/russian mix? That would sound something like Zału(sz/cz)(n?)(a/e).
There is a village Załuczne in Lesser Poland but I bet theres plenty of other names that would roughly match that pattern.
I’ve seen that kind of writing before, if somebody knew only russian name of city and tried to figure out translation to polish it might end up really confusing.
If you had a general idea what region it might be, or even if it was Poland at certain point in time, which is sometimes not so obvious in some cases, it would be of help.
Galicja / Galycia
It really looks like Palmer method cursive. Especially the ‘P’ in poland. Even more likely because it’s in English. Looks like ‘Zalynia’ to me.
I write exactly like this lmao, i can almost guarantee that it is about Żołynia (i see that it is “Zolynia”, maybe before the orthography reform it was written like this idk)
