Even €5-6 is too much for what you have on the picture honestly

There are 3€ Salad bowls that do the job. Rewe Bio Orzo vegan is very good

    3. DerpDerp300 on

Never forget these are products you can buy in the Rewe, just buy pesto and cook some noodles day before, costs 2€ instead of 7, and you got more to eat

    4. Dan_in_Munich on

What????? 17€! And this lunch box is 6€ 😓 what a ripoff

    5. Argentina4Ever on

You’re paying 17 euros for a Rewe ready meal? lol dude come on now.

Good meals are still cheap if you can cook them, if this is about convenience and scheduling I get it but there is probably still better options available.

    6. Markus_zockt on

Hmm, I don’t know. I actually still think these REWE salad bars are a really good option for when you need a quick bite to eat. After all, there’s still work involved in most of them, as they’re prepared, cooked or chopped.

I can’t think of a much better option ‘on the go’ for a filling lunch for €7–8. Even at Maces, €8 doesn’t really go very far these days.

I am going to be “that guy” and mention that, thanks to the discounters, food prices in Germany have been lower than many comparable countries for at least a decade. Not crazy low, but lower.

    8. realkunkun on

And to think, that these are the most dirty food items sold today is crazy. Half of them literally contain concerning levels of harmful bacteria.
I used to like those, but now I rather eat ANYTHING else

      What’s causing these price inflation?
      Immigrants?
      Refugees?
      Oil disruption?
      Unnecessary wars?
0 corporate planning for tech evolution causing the collapse of standard German industry?

And is the solution getting energy from Russia and then magically everything starts working ?

      Corporate greed knows no bounds.
Not even if the profits sore high!!

I saw a video of a guy getting 200g of only walnuts

    12. No-Victory3764 on

No offence intended, but I’d need to get paid to eat whatever this is.

I’ve tried salad bars from REWE and Edeka before. Pretty much everything was either just sour or bland, except for a few things that I found edible.

    13. Duennbier0815 on

Cheat code: only buy light stuff like salad. The price of the meat balls are close to red cabbage cause it’s also wet.
Use dressing at the office and don’t take theirs.

    14. If you can afford it, good for you. I can’t and there are thousand options to buy a cheap meal at REWE. I am not justifying REWE, but consumers like you are their target group and as long your group is buying, their actions are valid on their excel spreadsheet.

Just last week REWE spokesman said that they recognize a shift in people choosing cheaper options. Be part of that!

These salad bars are for hungry dumbasses, sorry to say that out loud.

They absolutely know that people will fill their bowls thinking that it isn‘t that much food. And it‘s often the cheapest food like noodles or breading soaked in oil that make up most of the weight.

    16. permanent_coldfeet on

Some people in this thread are being weirdly combative about the Rewe salad bar…just let people buy the salads if they want to buy them? I don’t mind the price, honestly. Some salads are vegan and gluten-free and taste reasonably well, so I don’t mind paying <10€ for them. If I’m having mental health problems, it’s still nice to have something healthy to eat.

    17. MyEgoDiesAtTheEnd on

Isn’t your post misleading? You’re implying that your 6.50 salad is now 17 and that’s simply untrue.

So it’s now 17/KG. It was never 6.50/KG. Maybe in 1994

    18. Alternative_Equal864 on

First rule at the rewe salad bar is dont go to the rewe salad bar

    19. Little-Bear13 on

17€?!! If no one buys it then who cares?! That price is not for me.

    20. Fastermaxx on

Can’t confirm that. I just bought a similar bowl on the Rewe salad bar yesterday for 5,50€. I doubt that they would tripple the price, nobody would use the bar anymore. Maybe it was a mistake from the cashier.
