      > Russia will hold a slimmed-down version of its annual parade to celebrate victory in World War Two, without the usual display of weaponry, the Kremlin said on Wednesday, citing an increased ‌threat of Ukrainian attacks.

      >On recent anniversaries, Russia has shown off weapons including intercontinental ballistic missiles, and President Vladimir Putin has used the occasion to rally the nation behind the war in Ukraine, now in its fifth year.

      >This year, however, the Defence Ministry said there would be no military equipment on display because of what it called “the current operational situation”.

Seems they are not in a great state at the moment. Wondering how long they can keep up the charade.

don’t be fooled, the threat already happened, they just are missing some mechanization and need an excuse

    4. medievalvelocipede on

They also don’t have any vehicles in it. Not even the T-34s bought from Laos.

Oh come one, everybody knows that you scaled down the parade because you need your tanks in your 3-days special operation in Ukraine.

Can’t parade tanks through Red Square if you’ve got none left

I really have no idea why america looks up to these people.

Golfkarts, dirtbikes, drunken vatniks on donkeys. What sight to behold.

Wait but I was hoping to watch the tanks stall out again.

UAF should send some drones to take an action there anyway.

Are they sending the T-34’s to the front? Or did all their Armata’s break down?

    12. Opposite-Chemistry-0 on

So does this mean they cannot secure a parade? Does not seem that special operation is going well

If they want to eliminate the “Ukrainian threat” they can end the war at any time.

Maybe a few inflatable things Operation Fortitude style would help /j

Sshhh, we don’t talk about whose side Russia was on in WW2 and which side Ukraine was on…

    16. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the lack of troops to take part because they’re needed ~~on the front~~ in the meat grinder, or all the tanks that were lost.

    17. Tentativ0 on

Well … all the soldiers and weapons are wasted away … they don’t have enough for this useless show.

      It makes sense.

the russian federation had nothing to do with winning ww2 anyway, that was the soviet union.

    19. tremblt_ on

Kind of poetic if you think about the fact that Russians have to scale back on everything right now in order to keep the war machine going

      Stuff of nightmare.

Losing millions of lives fighting an evil regime just to suffer in different evil regimes.
