Il presidente Volodymyr Zelenskyj ha criticato il vicepresidente americano JD Vance per aver elogiato la sospensione degli aiuti militari americani all’Ucraina, affermando che la posizione avvantaggia la Russia e indebolisce gli Stati Uniti, in un commento a Newsmax pubblicato il 29 aprile.
Le osservazioni fanno seguito alla difesa pubblica di Vance della decisione dell’amministrazione Trump di fermare i trasferimenti diretti di armi statunitensi a Kiev, un cambiamento politico che ha attirato critiche e sottolineato divisioni a Washington sul sostegno all’Ucraina.
"È una delle cose di cui sono più orgoglioso… abbiamo detto all’Europa che se vuoi comprare armi, puoi, ma gli Stati Uniti non comprano più armi per poi inviarle all’Ucraina," Vance ha detto in aprile.
Zelenskyj ha respinto i commenti, sostenendo che la riduzione del sostegno all’Ucraina alla fine rafforza la posizione di Mosca.
"Se JD Vance è orgoglioso di non aiutarci, significa che sta aiutando i russi, e non sono sicuro che questo rafforzi gli Stati Uniti," Ha detto Zelenskij.
"La Russia è il nemico. Saranno sempre nemici degli Stati Uniti."

No idea why but some in this administration seem to have a real hate boner towards Ukraine.
Maybe its money from russia, maybe its influnce by Puppetmasters like Thiel or maybe it is because it was the first of Trumps promises that evaporated since Ukraine had the audacity to not just drop their weapons and give russia territory.
Yes, because this administration is more of a joke and is damaging all of the soft power the US has created over 250 years. It is damaging it every day any of these clowns open their mouths.

If Trump was serious about supporting Ukraine and trippeling down on Bidens support, there was a big chance he could have had a victory on top of Venezuela. Now Trump is losing in Iran while Ukraine proves they can defend against Moscow with just the EU. Sure they don’t “”””waste”””” money in Ukraine, but on the other hand they have wasted all their money in Iran.

Vance just tries to stay relevant. After being the useful idiot in the Orban-Departure and being sidelined in the Iran-War endeavours, he trying to get some kind publicity. He’s clearly flailing.
If he’s so eager about Russia, Vance should travel to Moscow, go to an United Russia rally and publicly announce his support for Putin. The 2026 elections are coming anyway…

They continuously saving russians from hungers and collapses, they forced us to give up nukes, forced us to give up our aviation, forced us to give up our air defence, framed us in selling weapons to Iraq and still never apologised, when russians invaded in 2014 they imposed sanctions against us, when trump during first terms sold Javelins he sold it under strict conditions that they never will be used against russians, turned off starlink stopping operation against russian fleet similar to operation Pavutyna, leaked counteroffensive plans and plans to neutralise gerasimov, forced us to allow 40k russians to escape Kherson region safely, continuously blaming us for russian invasion and so on

When King Charles mentioned Ukraine in his speech to congress, JD was the only one I could see not clapping and remained seated while the rest stood up to applaud.
Vance isn’t the real enemy, Trump is.
Vance is a liar and clearly despises his own nation’s victories and progress. He dreams of a white supremacist dream.
He shall never be president of my country, friends. And Ukraine has something to do with that. Zelensky exposed him as a craven man.

The question is why?
Is it personal corruption or ideological?
I know people always suggest the former but I think it’s the latter. America first and a the world broken up into regional geopolitical slices for great powers (with one more great than the others). And relationships either transactional or subservient.
Start with the position where the only thing that matters is power and usefulness. No international ethics are real unless useful cover. They don’t care if you are a dictator. Or genocidal. They care about what you can do for the US or at least for the wealthy and corporate US. Or whether you are a threat. They care about geographical areas as areas of interest and influence. The America’s belongs to the US because of proximity and the have power they have to act there. They don’t see Europe as a matter for US concern except as a possible economic rival which they don’t mind being undermined. If Europe can’t deal with Russia then it’s nothing to do with the US and Russia can do what it likes.
Globally they don’t care about Russia which is not a threat to them. They care about the rise of China. And see the Ukraine war as just a distraction from that rivalry. What is Ukraine “doing for us” that we should do anything for them is how they think.
