My ex and I lived in separation for over 20 years on opposite sides of an ocean. We still needed to go to court to get a divorce. It took not one, not two, but three judges to make it legal.
What a great use of taxpayers’ money.

It’s needed otherwise people would marry and divorce on daily basis.
You literally pledge your life to your other half , if you are at this point you have to be sure you really love him/her

this is a great example of far-right mindset: they want to regulate how you live your life in details because, of course, they know best how life should be lived: divorce, in their view, is the government business; if you want a recipie for life to be given to you from the government then far-right is your choice, if you want to make your own choices then you should stay away; funny that they get so much attention nowdays – well, I get this, there are folks who have the same opinion on stuff, but don’t they realize that they can ALREADY live their lives the way they want? they don’t have to go fast-divorce route, then CAN DO “classic” way even if faster route is available? why so persistent on making others do the same? I will never understand this
