      I mean, if not today, then next week or the week after.

      I am not that into football or the politics of football. But this year’s Omonoia is a very good team, managed by a very good coach while also giving opportunities to young Cypriot players. So they deserve it.

      Such a weird state of football nowadays in Cyprus, Russian oligarchs pouring money in their teams, APOEL trying not go bankrupt, same for Anorthosis and then you have OMONOIA cruising the league.

      Easily the best team of this season and that is saying something as we had a team that marginally went out of the Champions league league phase, and another that not only excelled in the UECL, but also stood face to face against the overwhelming favourites for 60mins with a man down. All while you had a team that had a 12 game winning streak (!) in this same season.

      And Omonoia was simply better than them. They are probably the “clearest” winner we have had in the past 7-8 seasons, they have basically won the league in February.
