From what I’ve heard it aint the cheapest over all but cheap none the less
Its just another shop that people will prefer if its convenient to them
Seems like typical supermarket with the prices. Something like Kaufland etc..
Prices are nowhere Near like in Poland. We live Near Poland, and the difference is big, for same products,
So from my point is same as local supermarkets, nothing new or cheaper..
Never tried by myself, very few stores so far, but others told me that prices are more or less the same as everywhere else.
defo not the cheapest. some polish stuff is nice tho so i wisit it like once per month
The prices are the same as elsewhere but sometimes they have one thing thats ridiculously cheaper than in other shops. Overall, I like it.
It is decent, it has a layout I am not used to with their on-sale product placement. Sometimes they offer prices no other store has (there was a sale for Pilsner Urqell 0,5l in a can for 0.49E to set an example) but otherwise there is not much special. I like some of their generic brand Polish products though, like their tea sortiment.

I personally have never been to one, but a Biedronka store was supposed to be built in our village, about 100 meters from my house. They bought a plot, but then the council disagreed with the new junction. They invited us (people who live in the neighborhood) to a “discussion”
There was no discussion. One arrogant woman just told us they were going to build an access road to the store right in front of our houses (from the other side), and that we should be lucky to have a new store.
Well, everyone basically told her to go to hell.
What do I think? Arrogant, unprofessional idiots.
Pricing-wise it’s on par with Slovak Lidl or Kaufland but there are some really nice Polish-made products that we tend to buy there.
Still like polish biedronka more bcz they always have suprise monster energy flavours 😂
It sucks. We have biedronka where I live and we never go there.
Few times was enough when it was opened.
On the same level as Lidl.
Not the cheapest, but some good and cheap products like fish and dairy foods.
And Lidl is really scared of them, so Lidl in the same places offers random discounts like meat for free like “buy meat for at least for 5eur and get 5eur discount”.
So it’s a win for me.
I’ll be honest, I actually really like Biedronka.
The app is genuinely one of the best among grocery stores here. It’s clean, useful, and the whole shakeomat concept is a cool touch that makes shopping feel a bit more interactive instead of just boring routine.
One thing I really appreciate is the selection. They carry a lot more Slovak products than I expected, honestly more than some other chains. At the same time, they also bring in stuff you don’t usually see here, like certain Kellogg cereals and various Polish products. It’s not anything revolutionary, but it adds variety that’s been missing.
Price-wise, they’re good. In many cases better than Lidl or Kaufland, although still noticeably higher than in Poland. But overall, the deals and promotions are actually worth checking, not just fake “discounts.”
I also just prefer the overall vibe compared to Lidl. Hard to explain, but it feels a bit fresher and less repetitive.
And honestly, the biggest win: Slovakia finally has another discounter. For years it’s basically been Lidl and Kaufland (same parent company), so real competition was missing. Biedronka entering the market is a big deal, even if it’s not perfect.
Nothing magical, but definitely a net positive.
Na początku myślałem że biedronka będę coś jak game changer. Ale po roku jest na Słowacji nawet ani nie 15 sklepów. Ja się po prostu w Biedre na Słowacji czuje dziwne, nema regałów tam kde ich nie trzeba a jest lekko przejść 😆. Ale czytałem że będzie ich tutaj więcej. (Sorry za moją Polską mówe, uczę się!)
Nothing extraordinary in any category. It’s a store. Not amazing or terrible in quality, price, selection, or convenience. So far in pamphlets I saw maybe 1-2 thing that interested me but never enough to actually go there because I can get rest in Lidl next door. They opened 2 locations in city nearby. 1 has a great parking lot but it’s a bit off so it really needs people to drive there. Thing is Hypernova already failed there so I’m not sure who thought that location would be a good idea. Other location is actually in the middle of all other stores but since selection isn’t all that interesting it rellies on afterwork rush.
I went to the one in Most Pri Bratislave. My thoughts:
If I had to compare it to a different store I’d compare it to the czech iteration of a Penny market and I don’t mean that in a good way. Whenever I shop at Penny everything just felt… off and the same could be said about Biedronka. The actual selection in both stores is far smaller than you’d find in stores like Tesco and Lidl (even though Lidl doesn’t carry any name-brand stuff), the atmosphere in the store just feels off, everything looks like it’s just sort of thrown on the shelves etc etc…
This might all be excusable if the prices were actually low, but they really aren’t cheaper than other stores.
Its great! I love all the knockoffs like Orango, or Lila instead of our Lila 😀 Tastes about the same but its somehow 2 times cheaper!
None since it exists only in one of Bratislavas suburbs. But when I was in Poland it was basically just Lidl but you only got a discount if you bought 12 pieces of something.
They opened store in my town like more than a year ago but I´ve never been there . There was lot of talk (or hope) about low prices but the reality is they are nowhere near as low as in Poland. Prices are on similar level as Lidl so I have no reason to go there as Lidl is closer to place where I live.
Same thing as LIDL
From my experience it is the cheapest from all other supermarkets we have here in Slovakia

Not exactly writing home cheap but better then nothing, and They do have some things other stores dont
We loved it in Krakow and we love it in slovakia, mainly żurek and other local things brought here. One of the many reasons to move to Poland
There isn’t any biedronka store near us that l know of, l would be interested only for polis products and if they are any good, at least some of those are sold in warious stores like for example Koruna which is northern frenchise of grocery stores located somewhere around Kysuce and Žilina county, but the quality of polish products is quite mediocre, mosty sweets, similar to those from Turkey or Balkans. So finger crossed they would have something good, but l don’t have high hopes.
The BoGo sucks- so i have heard. There are very few stores. I expect them to grow more
