Really sad to hear this – he was one of my favourite Irish actors. Fantastic in Banshees and The Guard.

Weirdly enough the first role that came to mind was On Home Ground, a RTE show about a gaelic football club from 20 odd years ago.
Great actor, he’ll be missed.

Ah that’s a shame, can’t say I knew his name but he always seemed to pop up in Irish films.
