The former history and German teacher has been engaged in a legal dispute with the Co Westmeath school since 2022.
He was suspended following incidents arising from a request from the school’s then-principal to address a student by a new name and pronoun, and later dismissed from his position.
Burke has repeatedly argued the direction was unconstitutional and went against his right to express his religious beliefs.
At least hes got stable housing.

I wish we would stop reporting on him
It’s been 4 years, when the school closes end of May, only the 1st and 2nd years will still be there from when he was suspended. The 2nd years, who hadn’t even sat their junior cert yet, will be in final year sitting their leaving cert.
At what point can a psychiatric assessment be carried out? The reason I ask is if you drop the religion thing just for a second, he’s in the midst of a mental breakdown, and detached from reality, which is the very definition of a mental breakdown.

His students are in college now . The kids currently in that school think he’s a nonce .
Stop giving him and his batshit family the publicity ffs. He is in prison because he wants to be and he could leave at any moment he wishes to, which he wont.
