      Short answer: Israel is concerned with Turkey

      Long answer: Let’s go step by step

      1) X as a whole isn’t anti-Turkey. Not just because Turks use X too but because Elon is in favour of Erdoğan and have even removed anti-Erdoğan accounts that advocated for İmamoğlu to be freed.

      2) Erdoğan’s voter base is conservative and since Turkey is majority Muslim, being conservative means being an Islamist (ergo, anti other religions and stand up for your Muslim brothers). But as much as he vocally condemns Israel and says he supports Palestine, Turkey is still trading with Israel.

      3) Turkey has just unveiled an ICBM, so Israel is concerned. Like I said before, Erdoğan’s anti-Israel stance is lipservice currently but if his voterbase pushes hard enough, he might just use the ICBM. That is Israel’s concern which is why that ad is there.

      This enemy narrative between Turkey and Israel is largely an act for enmasse control.

      both leaderships rely on conservative bases that are easily consolidated through fear of a bogeyman. By keeping the public focused on external threats so they can distract from internal issues like economic issues, in order to keep ruling and also frame any dissent as treason and this is a tactic we’re seeing right now in Turkey with the imprisonment of Ekrem İmamoğlu on espionage charges and so on…

      while rhetoric is aggressive, the underlying geopolitical reality is often a symbiotic rivalry they use the conflict to keep their respective masses polarized and compliant. It’s not about hate; it’s about maintaining power. Also they still continue to trade goods privately through paper companies and third-party intermediaries. Turkey will and never attack israel if the israel or turkey become superpower in future they will rely eachother like blood brothers
