Got one as well.
As to people’s question to what can happen when answering unknown numbers:
1. Recording of your voice. If you don’t know the number don’t speak first.
2. They check if you answer that phone, if its a used number so they can sell it to ad companies etc
3. Pay when calling back premium fees
Now if you speak with them or click on links of messages then the problems multiply.

3 (!) strange incoming calls this week:
One call had a very bad connection. I was able to google the number afterwards and it supposedly belonged to the Traffic Police in Limassol WTF, but the caller did not introduce themselves as police and hung up because I could not understand them. Very strange!

The next crazy call was allegedly from cyprus phone number “PayPal”. It was some automated message saying something about a €200 charge and to press 1 to approve or 2 to cancel or something like that. WTF. I did not press anything. The call came from a Cypriot mobile number.
Today I also received a call from Italy. I did not answer it because I do not know anyone in Italy anyway.
