Se la Turchia intraprende qualche azione, la reazione dovrebbe essere europea, ha detto stasera il presidente della Repubblica Nikos Christodoulidis, interrogato sulle azioni della Turchia in relazione alla dottrina della “patria blu”.

Actually, it seems Turkey is creating a legal foundation.

It seems these sea EEZs first fell under domestic law and declarations, and then bilateral agreements if there are conflicts.

It seems Turkey is tidying up that domestic law part.

All colored dotted lines on this map represent unresolved disputes from an international law perspective.

Currently, only the bold-colored borders have some legal standing.

From what I understand, Turkey is planning to do bilateral agreements

      First with Syria,
      Than with Egypt,
      Then with Lebanon and
      Maybe later, even with Israel.

Those planned agreements will determine the borders between those countries, like Cyprus, which doesn’t exist.

IMPORTANT: It seems these EEZ agreements can be made between two countries without the third country.

For Turkey, Syria is obviously a done deal, as we can guess, and a deal with Lebanon can be done, but I don’t understand how Egypt will come on board.

Today, the master mind of this “Bluehomeland doctrine” gave an interview to a YouTube channel, spoke like Egypt is a done deal:S

Turkey & Greece are both pushing for their maximalist EEZs. This behaviour will get them nowhers. They should come to an agreement on a fair plan and put this behind.
