That’s where you draw the line on the quirks of meat PR. Not with the ‘Happy Face Sausage’, which has been around for 50 years?

If this was in America, it would say unicorn sausage.

In the country of the “Bärchenwurst” I am not that surprised at the start of the barbecue season

I just wish the company would’ve a fraction of guts and actually use horse meat for that. It is unicorn sausage, after all, and those are the nearest equivalent.

What about this gives America? It’s sausage with a unicorn on its package. We have face sausage in Germany, sausage made to resemble a human face, which is a direct reference to the Butcher of Hannover, who was rumored to have turned his murder victims into sausages for the black meat market. There’s a service that let’s you turn your own face into sausage and the best part is that they offer vegan face sausages too.

We have worse examples of consumerism than a unicorn on a sausage packaging.
