      Bulgaria is very safe until you have to get into a car then who knows what the fuck will happen

      I was in Lyon twice for work conventions I am pretty well built and we were always 3-4 people and still after 7 pm it was nightmare . It was like a third world country

      At hotel they explicitly told my wife not to wander alone and even when we were me and her there were non stop jeers etc

      Same shit in Paris

      I am glad you enjoy it. Bulgaria is very underrated and has a lot to offer. Plovdiv is also worth visiting, it’s the oldest city in Europe (maybe in the grand scheme of things not true but it’s how its called) especially the Old Town. I always recommend it to tourists.

      Immigrants are not really a long-term problem, but a short-term problem and long-term solution. And if you are lucky, you get well-educated immigrants with similar culture, but that’s harder.

      I am happy Bulgaria is not a warzone with hostile immigrant crowds and has about the right amount of immigrants. However within a decade those immigrants abroad will assimilate and the countrues who hosted them will have a more powerful workpower.

      However, we may not have tons of Arab migrants but we have simething way worse – russophiles. Who sabotage any sensible progress within the country and dream that Bulgaria is taken over by putin. Also, they are tryig to push away the culturally similar, work-ready and well-educated regugees we were lucky to have from Ukraine.

      Also, Bulgaria is great for protecting its vulnerable minorities, including refugees  If you want to live here and contribute to society that’s great, but if you have wet dreams of an ethinc monostate or fascist russia is your dream country, it is best to fuck off to there and not polute our society. We don’t need immigrants who don’t want to immigrate one way or the other.

      It’s great that you like it here! As an immigrant (civilized) with Bulgarian roots, I also have a good life here (including partly teenage years too). I hear a lot of bad words about Bulgaria, but there’s no denying the fact that it, along with other Eastern European countries, is one of the safest.
