We need to start being more administratively restrictibe about this. One avenue we could persue is require STD tests for anny foreighners aplying for ressidency.

A lot of comments seem to throw this on personal responsibility, but I don’t think it’s that simple. There was an article here in the Dutch news where the expert they talked to said it was partially because the STI awareness csmpaigns had been a long time ago. And… yeah, if that’s the case, then I understand why this happens. You can’t do a campaign 5 years ago and call it good, it should be continuous. Sex ed is not a solved problem, you have to repeat it and update it indefinitely.

I wonder how much PrEP availability contributed to this change. If there is a medication to prevent the most feared STD, then the older ones feel more manageable, perhaps?
