    Menzioni d’onore a Happy Days – Rascals e Scraggy Bay – Kinnegar.

Kinnegar is my local, their best beer is Rustbucket (a gorgeous rye IPA), closely followed by the export stout

Lough Gill brewery has a wide selection of good beers and is local to Sligo. Worth a recommendation

Scraggy bay was going to be my pick. Kinnegar makes some great beers. Also like Rustbucket. Ive never had Béal Bán. Can you get it in Dublin? If so, where?

I really like Elevation Pale Ale from Wicklow Wolf, Ambush by Trouble Brewing and Rascals’ Happy Days.

      Larkins Hoppy Dog.

What a belter the stuff is like drinking nectar

Kinnegar is a solid choice as others have said. Big Bunny, while absolutely lethal, is amazing to drink. Rustbucket and Scraggy Bay are wonderful as well.

Wicklow Wolf is great too. Elevation and Mammoth are both excellent.

I also do like the Original 7 stuff in Cork.

Used to be very fond of Killanny red ale by Brehon Brewery, but haven’t had it in a few years. Lovely drop.

    8. Bullhouse Small Axe, or to be honest anything the lads at Bullhouse do.

Before I gave up drinking I moved into Kinnegar Low Tide. It’s a really great low alcohol option for a very tasty pale ale. 1%.

Before that I loved their Limeburner, also Eight Degrees Howling Gale or Wicklow Wolf Elevation.

I enjoy the Brú Brewery Hazy IPA & Western Herd West Clare IPA

Ah man there’s just TOO many to choose from

A recent favorite after being down in Cork for a few days is Blacks KPA.

Anything from Wicklow Wolf or White Hag is sure to satisfy.

As an Athlone man, Dead Centre’s brews are top notch, such a pity they don’t do cans any more 😢

A lot of solid recommendations for the likes of Kinnegar and Wicklow Wolf but Dead Centre Brewing in Athlone do some really good beers, big fan of their Seeking Sunshine beer

Anything by Mescan,, particularly their Westport Saison and Red Tripel.

Wicklow Wolfs Mammoth and Elevation for IPA.

      Kinnegar Scraggy Bay for consistency.

I used to love Elevation Wicklow Wolf but I think it took a nosedive in recent years.

Havnt tried West Kerry Brewery but will look out for it.

I like both Hope, Handsome Jack & Rye River, Big Banging IPA.

Edit: +1 for Kinnegar, big bunny

I’m partial to Hope Brewery from Howth, especially their Handsome Jack or Hop On

    17. **Stout**: **Leann foillean** (o hara’s – but their stout with the white label, not the one with the black label). if in a “normal” pub, **murphy’s** if you can get it.

**IPA**: not sure if its still available but **Black’s KPA** is banging, that hs to be at the top of the list. failing that , **Jack the lad** by  Reel Deel Brewery. C**ashmere Citra** by wide street brewing is also top noth. **White hag**’s Ipa is also in the running.

**saison**: used to be **black donkey** (now closed), but currently i think the best is **wide street brewing.**

**lager**: **Kinnegar.** anyone got other suggestions for good irish lagers? im all ears. i make a good homebrew one though.

**Red Ale:** **kinnegar** again have it sown up here i think, although im not an expert on red ales.

      **RyePA: Kinnegar** *again* with **rustbucket.**

Black donkey used to do a special release called “**sergent jimmy**” that was one of my all time favourite beers.

Honourable mention to Chieftain from the Franscian Well. I miss you. We will never see it’s like again.

Whiplash make some of the best modern hazy ales in the country on par with the best in UK, Europe and the US.

Love most things Rascal’s. Their Happy Days is great and the Rock Shandy Pale Ale is class.

      Treaty city Brewery
Sarsfield is one of the best stouts around and Harris is an excellent Ale

    22. I enjoy the Hope beers; Handsome Jack, Hop On etc.

      Also enjoy Brú & Kinnegar.
