Even if we love Nyland, you have to recognize there are levels to this game, and it’s not even close.

Nyland was getting a lot of appreciation from Norwegian fans. The team appreciate him & should get some decent offers now.
Haaland is a superstar, widely considered top 3 strikers in the world. Nylan is not of the same ilk for goalkeepers.

He did very well in this world cup, but unfortunately his average level just isnt as good as Haaland. Not even close. There is a reason he has swspped clubs many times throughout his career and spent years on the bench. If he was truly world class, he would have had more attention as well. Like Neuer, Casillas and other goalie greats.
Thats not taking anything away from the Brazil match, or the tournament in general though. Being a goalie is also very tough, one mistake can be very costly, even derail an entire career.
I feel like in general goal makers would always get more attention and hype than goal keepers. Personally I have as much respect and awe for Nyland as I do Haaland. Can’t wait to see which club Nyland will be joining next

No matter how good a goal keeper is, the glory will always go mainly to whoever scores the most goals. Same as how the lead singer in a band gets more attention than the bass player or the drummer.

As for attention, it’s because he’s not a global superstar like Haaland. He doesn’t play for Man City, he hasn’t won the Champions League, he’s not considered the best goalie in the world. He doesn’t have 60 million followers on social media. That’s why the media doesn’t write as much about him.
But we know he got us this far.
When they had the celebrations in Oslo I heard two names being chanted the most – Nyland and Haaland. But internationally Haaland is a much bigger name and a forward so it’s not that unusual

Ever since the Brazil match the guy has been worshipped as an equal to Håland. Ødegård has been bumped to third place in attention.
He was crying and blaming himself for the loss to England, something he had no right to do given that he already made so many miracles for us. On his return to Norway we made sure that he got those stupid thoughts out of his mind and recognise himself for the hero that he is.
the real question is why Bobb never gets attention. The guy has been absolutely critical for Norway.
