And so the musical chairs begins once more. Will we surpass 3 PM’s this time? What vegetable will outlive our unelected PM this time?
I feel like Burnham’s just a place holder until Reform get in
People should be very concerned here as he is not speaking to any media (Gary lineker) aside. All very light on policy without any details. Not allowing any challenges.
Joke of a situation all around. He doesn’t have a mandate for even half of what he’s got planned.
What a shock! Proper dark horse result this. Honestly didn’t see him winning it, thought he was just another token candidate put there to ‘broaden the debate’, but I’m glad he’s pulled through. Just hoping the parliamentary party can get behind him now, must be a shock to them too after all!
He doesn’t have a mandate as he didn’t stand at the last general election for the Labour manifesto.
Tiring how many commentators online act as if we have a presendential system and get mad when our system works the way it always has because it’s not the way they’re “used to” (because they pay too much attention to American politics)
I’m looking forward to the first Burnham scandal that will, no doubt, be revealed on Monday.
Burnham out! New PM who understands the people! /s
Another incompetent prick who will do F all about the extremely high cost of everything and give way too much effort to less pressing issues.
**Brenda:** “You’re joking! Not another one! Oh, for God’s sake. I can’t honestly…I can’t stand this. “
Has he ever been to anywhere outside Manchester?
This is going to be an absolute disaster. Can’t fucking wait.
I think Andy Burnham has one of the most punchable faces I’ve seen in quite a while.
Such a smug chinless face.
Nice too have yet another un elected PM
Drinking game ideas for his opening speech?
“Take a shot for every time he says ‘Manchester'” has to be the obvious one
All Burnham has to do is keep Starmer’s promises – starting with a shower of well-publicised improvements, that actually relate to ordinary lives, in the first week.
Musical chairs. Can’t wait for this one’s inevitable but entertaining downfall.
Maybe next time a properly competent leader as opposed to a popularity contest or party politics??
